BuBu, your store assistant (Preview)
A first look at BuBu, the store assistant being built into the BillionBiz dashboard — chat, daily brief, and suggested actions.
Preview only — not a working assistant yet
BuBu is a preview of what a store assistant could look like. The screen you see today is a shell: the chat prompts, daily-brief insights, and suggested actions shown on it are illustrative examples, not a live conversation with a real AI backend. There is no working chat, insight, or action engine behind it yet — treat every number and message on this screen as a mockup of the intended experience, not something that reflects your store's actual data.
Meet BuBu
BuBu is the name of the BillionBiz mascot, a teal "b" in a shop-awning cap, and of the store assistant being built into your dashboard. You will see the mascot on the BillionBiz website; the assistant is the part described on this page.
Where to find it
There is one BuBu page, at /ai. Open it from the BuBu entry (marked Planned) in the Plugins group of
either sidebar. The older /charm-ai address redirects to /ai. Owner/Super Admin, Store Admin and
Staff accounts can open it; vendor accounts have no BuBu page.
What the page shows depends on your sidebar:
- New admin sidebar (v2) — the BuBu preview described below.
- Classic sidebar — the roadmap page for the same entry: the headline "Let AI do the busywork." with three planned benefits (write product descriptions, suggest customer replies, explain what changed in sales) and an Email waitlist request button. Nothing on it is functional and there is no release date.
Walk through the preview (new admin sidebar)
Open the page
Go to Plugins → BuBu. The header reads "your shop's AI co-pilot." with the line "Ask anything about your store. Get daily insights. Know what to do next." The Preview BuBu button in the header switches to the Ask BuBu tab.
Ask BuBu tab
Shows "start by asking BuBu something." and four example prompts (for example "How did sales go yesterday?"). A note reads "Live chat is coming soon. Until then, browse the sample daily brief and suggested actions." The chat box does not send or answer real questions.
Daily brief tab
"yesterday at a glance." lists three sample insight cards, each labelled as example data: "Example data, not your store's live numbers." They are not generated from your orders or stock.
Suggested actions tab
Three sample actions, each with Do it and Dismiss. Do it only takes you to the Dashboard; it does not restock, message customers, or change anything. Dismiss currently does nothing. A Coming soon badge sits under the list.
Capabilities and waitlist
Below the tabs, three cards describe the intended assistant: answers in plain English, a proactive
daily brief, and suggested next actions. The Email waitlist request link opens an email to
contact@billionbiz.store asking to join the BuBu waitlist.
Troubleshooting: why can't I get real answers from BuBu?
Because the assistant is not live. Whatever you type is not sent anywhere, and the insights and actions are fixed samples. If the page shows a "Let AI do the busywork." headline instead of the tabs, you are on the classic sidebar, which only shows the roadmap page. If the BuBu entry in Plugins is missing entirely, you are signed in as a vendor account, which has no BuBu page.
