Plugins & Integrations Marketplace
Connect the payment, shipping, marketing, and messaging tools you already depend on, without leaving your dashboard.
No e-commerce business runs on a single tool. The Plugins screen connects BillionBiz to the services you already use, so you don't need separate dashboards or manual data exports.
Screen: Plugins → Plugins (address /plugins).
Browsing the marketplace
The screen differs by sidebar. Both list integrations as cards and both let you search.
On the new admin sidebar (v2)
The page header reads "plugins." with a line such as "N installed" and, when relevant, updates available. Top to bottom:
- Starter stack — "Three jobs, three plugins." Three slots: Payments, Shipping and Messaging. A slot shows Not connected with a Choose one button until a plugin of that kind is connected, then shows it as Active or Paused. Choosing a slot jumps to the Available tab filtered to that category (and clears any search).
- Installed / Available tabs and the Search plugins box (clear it with the x). Installed holds what you have connected; with nothing connected it says "Nothing installed yet" and a Browse available button takes you to Available.
- Browse rail (a row of chips on a phone) — All, Payments, Shipping, Messaging, Analytics, Accounting and Other. Pick one to narrow the list; if nothing matches you see "No integrations match" with Clear filters.
- Start with these — on Available, a featured row. The first card is marked Start here, the others Popular. Featured picks are Razorpay, Shiprocket, WhatsApp, Delhivery and Custom Email (SMTP) when they are in your catalogue.
- The remaining integrations as cards. A card carries the brand logo in a square tile (a letter tile if no logo is available yet), the name, a one-line description, and chips. Verified means the integration is fully built into BillionBiz; Guided setup means it has its own dedicated setup screen rather than the generic credential form.
- Coming soon — still on Available, below the connectable cards. The heading shows how many integrations are in the section ("N integrations"), with the line "We are building these next. They cannot be connected yet." Each card shows the logo, name, category and a Coming soon chip, and its only button is Learn more, which opens the integration's details. There is no Connect or Install button. The section is always visible, so there is nothing to expand or hide.
The Available tab count and the category counts include the coming-soon integrations. The Installed tab never lists them. The category rail and the Search plugins box filter the Coming soon section along with the connectable cards, and No integrations match appears only when neither group has a match.
An installed plugin's card (on the Installed tab) shows its name, status, the plugin's description (when it has one, trimmed to two lines) and a Configure button and a kebab (⋮) menu; see Activating, deactivating, and uninstalling.
Troubleshooting: why can't I connect a plugin, or why is Connect missing?
A card in the Coming soon section, or without a Verified chip, is not fully built into BillionBiz yet and cannot be connected. If your plan does not include plugins, the page shows "upgrade to unlock plugins." with an upgrade plan button instead of the marketplace. If a search finds nothing, check the category rail is on All. If a plugin you expected is in the Coming soon section, it is not available yet: only Learn more is offered.
On the classic (default) sidebar
Every available integration is laid out as a card, organized into categories: Communication, Payment, Shipping, Analytics, Marketing, Support, Accounting, Reviews, Tax, CRM, ERP, Inventory, and Social. Use the category tabs or the search bar to narrow the list.
Each card shows a status badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Installed and currently running (a pulsing dot marks this) |
| Needs attention | Installed, active, and carrying a real connection problem — see below |
| Installed | Installed but currently paused |
| Available | Not yet installed |
| Coming soon | Not yet available to install |
Click a card to open its detail view — a fuller description, version number, and developer information.
“Needs attention” on a shipping plugin
For Shiprocket and Delhivery specifically, the badge isn't just a mirror of the plugin's own on/off switch — it reflects whether the carrier connection is actually alive right now (the same signal the plugin's own detail page uses): missing or inactive credentials, or a carrier session token that's expired or expiring within 24 hours. A shipping plugin can be switched Active in its own settings while every shipment through it is silently failing — this badge is what tells you before a customer does. Hover the badge for the specific reason (e.g. "Carrier session expired — reconnect to resume shipments"), then open the plugin's own page to reconnect. Other plugin categories don't have a live-health signal yet, so they only ever show Active/Installed/ Available based on their own on/off switch.
Saving Shiprocket or Delhivery settings updates this list
When you save a Shiprocket or Delhivery provider in your shipping settings, the matching plugin's on/off state here follows the provider's active setting, so a provider you activated shows Active in the Plugins list instead of staying Installed. This only updates a plugin that is already installed: it never installs one for you, and a sync problem never blocks your settings save. If the card still shows the old state, install the plugin from its card first, then save the provider again.
Plugin limits by plan
How many plugins you can install depends on your subscription plan:
| Plan | Plugins you can install |
|---|---|
| Free | None — plugins aren't available on this plan |
| Starter | 2 |
| Growth | 5 |
| Pro | 20 |
| Max | Unlimited |
- What counts: every plugin you have installed, whether it's currently Active or paused — except shipping plugins. Courier plugins in the Shipping category (such as Shiprocket, Delhivery and BlueDart) are part of core store setup and never use up your allowance. On a plan with a plugin limit you can add them from the Plugins screen even when you're at the limit. On the Free plan the Plugins screen stays locked, so connect Shiprocket from Settings → Shipping Provider Preferences → Connect Shiprocket instead. Plugins in the internal Core category aren't listed on the Plugins screen and don't count either.
- What happens at the limit: installing one more plugin than your plan allows is refused, and the plugin is not installed. On the Free plan every install from the Plugins screen is refused; Shiprocket can still be connected from Shipping Provider Preferences.
- What you keep: plugins you installed before reaching the limit keep working. You can still switch them on and off, edit their settings, and uninstall them — only new installs are limited. Uninstalling a plugin frees a slot. The same applies after you move to a lower plan: no installed plugin is switched off, even if you now have more than the new plan allows; you just can't install another one until you're under the limit again.
- Switching a courier on from Shipping settings is never blocked by this limit.
What you see when an install is refused
When your plan stops an install, a red message appears that names the reason, with an Upgrade plan link in the message. You see one of three messages:
- Limit reached — "Plugin limit reached: X of Y plugins used on your current plan. Upgrade your plan to install more." (for example, "2 of 2"). If the count can't be read, the shorter "You have reached the plugin limit on your current plan. Upgrade your plan to install more." appears instead.
- Plugins not on your plan — "Plugins are not included in your current plan, so
{name}could not be installed. Upgrade your plan to unlock plugins." ({name}is the plugin you clicked.) - Plan check failed — "We couldn't verify your plan right now. Please try again in a moment." This one has no Upgrade plan link, because nothing is wrong with your plan; the check simply didn't complete, and the plugin was not installed.
Upgrade plan opens Settings → Billing & Plan. In every case the plugin is not installed.
Shipping plugins (for example Shiprocket, Delhivery, BlueDart, FedEx, DHL and UPS) never count toward the limit and are never
refused this way. Any other install failure still shows the generic "Could not install {name}."
message, which means the problem is not your plan. (On the Free plan, plugin cards show a disabled
Connect button next to an upgrade button.)
Installing and configuring a plugin
Find the plugin
Search or filter by category to find the integration you want, then click its card.
Install
Click Connect (or Install, depending on the card). A configuration dialog opens asking for the credentials that plugin needs — API keys, account IDs, or similar. BillionBiz encrypts these credentials before storing them.
Save
Save the configuration. The plugin's status moves to Installed, ready to be activated.
Integrations that need dedicated setup — WhatsApp, Razorpay, Shiprocket, Delhivery, and Custom Email (SMTP) — open their own full-featured screens instead of the generic credential form, so each channel gets the depth it needs:
- WhatsApp Business — see Connecting WhatsApp Business.
- Razorpay — connects your store to UPI, net banking, cards, and wallets at checkout; see Finance: Payouts, Settlements & Invoicing for how payments flow after checkout.
- Shiprocket & Delhivery — connect your courier account and pull in warehouse locations automatically; see Shipping & Logistics.
- Custom Email (SMTP) — replace BillionBiz's shared email sending with your own account (Gmail, SendGrid, Amazon SES, Mailgun, or any standard SMTP provider) for stronger deliverability and a consistent from-address. A preset picker auto-fills server settings for the major providers, and a Send Test Email button confirms the connection before you rely on it.
On the new admin, the Razorpay, Custom Email (SMTP) and WhatsApp screens are headed with the brand name as written, followed by a full stop, so you see Razorpay., SMTP Email. and WhatsApp Business. as the page titles. The same heading stays in place when the plugin is locked on your plan (you see the upgrade prompt under it) and, for Razorpay, when its settings fail to load. The classic admin keeps its own headings (the WhatsApp page there reads "messaging that converts").
Activating, deactivating, and uninstalling
You can pause a plugin without losing its saved configuration — useful for testing or temporarily switching an integration off. The control differs slightly by sidebar:
- On the classic (default) sidebar, a switch on the plugin's card turns it Active or Inactive.
- On the new admin sidebar, open the connected-plugin card's kebab (⋮) menu and choose Pause (or Activate to turn it back on). A paused plugin stays visible in its category with a Paused badge instead of disappearing from the list.
To remove a plugin entirely, uninstall it: this deletes its stored credentials and configuration, so reconnecting later means setting it up from scratch.
Uninstalling a plugin
Open the uninstall control
On the classic (default) sidebar, find the plugin's card (an installed card shows the Active/Inactive switch) and click the trash-can icon that sits between that switch and the Configure button. Hover it and the tooltip reads Uninstall. The icon turns red on hover and is greyed out while the card is busy (for example while it is being switched on or off), so wait a moment and try again. It appears only on installed cards; a card that still shows Install has nothing to uninstall.
On the new admin sidebar, either open the connected-plugin card's kebab (⋮) menu (on the Installed tab) and choose Disconnect (shown in red, last in the menu), or open the plugin's details drawer and click uninstall.
Confirm
The classic trash icon and the kebab Disconnect both open the same Uninstall Plugin dialog: "Are you sure you want to uninstall (plugin name)? This will remove its configuration and cannot be undone." Click the red Uninstall button to confirm, or Cancel to close the dialog without changing anything. The drawer's uninstall button instead swaps the drawer footer for an inline "uninstall plugin?" prompt ("This will remove (plugin name) and its configuration. This cannot be undone.") with yes, uninstall and keep plugin.
Check the result
On success a "(plugin name) has been removed." message appears, the dialog closes, and the plugin leaves the Installed tab (new admin) or goes back to Available (classic). If the uninstall fails, a red "Uninstall failed" message appears, the dialog stays open and the plugin stays installed; click Uninstall again to retry, or Cancel to leave it as it is.
What uninstalling does to your plan allowance and records:
- It frees the slot at once. Uninstalling removes the plugin's install record, and the plan limit counts installed plugins, so you are one under the limit again and can install another straight away. Pausing never does this; see Plugin limits by plan.
- It works on a plan that no longer includes plugins. Uninstall is not behind the plan limit, so you can remove plugins after a downgrade even when you are over the new allowance.
- The plugin's change history is kept. The record that you uninstalled it, and the earlier changes to its configuration, stay in BillionBiz's plugin audit trail for your store; uninstalling does not erase them. This history is not shown on a Plugins screen: the Configuration History panel on the Razorpay and SMTP Email status screens lists only changes to the plugin as it is currently connected, so it starts empty after you reconnect.
View logs and Run test are labelled coming soon
On the new admin sidebar's connected-plugin kebab menu, View logs (coming soon) and Run test (coming soon) are shown disabled — there's no backend endpoint behind either yet, so they don't call the plugin. This is an honest "not built yet" state rather than a fake success message. To check whether an integration is actually working, use the plugin's own dashboard or the card's health indicator instead.
Plugin version
Each plugin's detail view shows its installed version number.
Troubleshooting
Why can't I install another plugin?
- Read the red message. If it says "Plugin limit reached: X of Y plugins used" (or "You have reached the plugin limit"), or that plugins are not included in your plan, your plan is the reason — use its Upgrade plan link, or follow steps 2 to 4. If it says "Could not install" followed by the plugin's name, the cause is something other than your plan: try again once to rule out a temporary glitch. If it says "We couldn't verify your plan right now", BillionBiz couldn't read your plan at that moment and nothing was installed — wait a little and click Install (classic admin) or Connect (new admin) again; no plan change is needed.
- Count the plugins you have installed (paused ones count too; shipping plugins don't) and compare with the table in Plugin limits by plan. If you're at your plan's number, that's the cause.
- Either uninstall a plugin you no longer use — this deletes its saved credentials and configuration, so reconnecting later means setting it up again — or upgrade your plan from Settings → Billing & Plan.
- On the Free plan, plugins can't be connected from the Plugins screen. Shiprocket can still be connected from Settings → Shipping Provider Preferences → Connect Shiprocket; upgrade to install any other plugin.
Pausing a plugin does not free a slot; only uninstalling does.
Why can't I install a plugin after downgrading?
When you move to a plan with a lower plugin allowance, or to one that does not include plugins (the Free plan counts as an allowance of 0), BillionBiz does not switch off or remove any plugin you already installed. They stay active and editable. What changes is that new installs are refused while your installed count (shipping plugins excluded) is at or above the new allowance: you see "Plugin limit reached: X of Y plugins used on your current plan", or, on a plan without plugins, "Plugins are not included in your current plan". To install again, uninstall plugins until you are below the allowance (the slot is free the moment the uninstall succeeds), or upgrade from Settings → Billing & Plan. If you are on the Free plan, the Plugins screen shows the upgrade prompt instead of the marketplace.
Why can't I find the uninstall button?
- On the classic sidebar, the trash-can icon (tooltip Uninstall) is on installed plugin cards only, next to the Active/Inactive switch and before Configure. A plugin card that shows Install is not installed yet. If the icon is greyed out, the card is busy; wait a moment and try again.
- On the new admin sidebar, there is no icon on the card: open the Installed tab, click the card's kebab (⋮) menu, and choose Disconnect. That is the uninstall; it asks you to confirm in the Uninstall Plugin dialog and nothing is removed until you click Uninstall.
- If the dialog shows "Uninstall failed" and stays open, the plugin is still installed and still counts toward your plan's plugin limit. Retry, or reload the Plugins screen and check the Installed list.
