Profile, Notifications & Account Settings

Editing your name and phone, managing your address book, and reading in-app notifications.

Your account settings live under Profile, reached from your account menu once you're signed in.

The account menu

When you are signed in, the header shows a chip with your first name (or Profile if the store has no name for you) and your photo or initials. Select it to open the account menu:

EntryWhere it goes
ProfileYour profile page, /profile
My OrdersYour order history, /orders
My ReviewsReviews you have written, /my-reviews
Support TicketsYour tickets, /tickets. Shown only on stores that have support tickets switched on
Become a VendorThe vendor sign-up page, /vendor-signup
LogoutSigns you out

The menu opens below the chip and is not clipped by the header, even when the header scrolls sideways on a narrow screen; it follows the chip if you scroll or resize while it is open. Press Esc to close it and return focus to the chip, or click anywhere outside it. When you are signed out the chip is replaced by a Login link.

Why is an entry missing from my menu?

Support Tickets appears only when the merchant has the support-tickets feature on. Everything else is always listed for a signed-in customer. If a menu entry opens a page that is not found, let the store know.

Editing your details

On the Profile page, update your name and phone number and save. Your email address is not editable here — it's tied to your account and used for order confirmations and password resets.

The phone number must be a valid number: 10 to 15 digits, and exactly 10 digits for an Indian number (with or without a leading +91). You may type spaces, dashes, dots or brackets between digits. A number that does not fit shows "Enter a valid 10-digit mobile number" under the field and the save does not go through. The same rule applies to the phone number on a saved address. You can leave the profile phone blank.

Changing or setting your password

The password section of the Profile page depends on how your account was created.

You have a password (you signed up with email or phone and a password). The section is a change-password form with Current password, New password and Confirm new password, and an Update password button. The new password and its confirmation must match before the form submits. A message confirms the change; if the store rejects it (for example the current password is wrong) you see an error message and nothing changes.

You signed up with Google and never chose a password. There is no current password to type, so the form is replaced by a notice under a Password heading: "You sign in with Google. Set a password to also sign in with your email." and a Set a password button. Select Set a password to open the Forgot password page with your account email already filled in and locked (you cannot type a different address there, so the link always goes to your own account). Select Send Reset Link and follow the emailed link to choose a password. After that you can sign in with either Google or your email and password.

Come back to Profile once you have set the password: the section now shows the change-password form. The page checks your account each time it opens, so reload it if it still shows the notice.

Why do I still see the change-password form after signing up with Google?

The notice only appears when the store confirms your account has no password. If you ever set one (or the page could not read your account details, for example while offline), the standard form is shown instead so you are never locked out of changing a password you do have. Reload the page to retry.

Store wording

The heading, notice and button text can be reworded by the merchant in the store's Profile page design. If your store shows different wording, it is the same prompt.

Managing your address book

Still on the Profile page, your Address book lists every saved address.

  • Add a new address, or edit an existing one inline.
  • Delete an address you no longer need. You can't delete your default address directly — set a different one as default first, then delete the old one.
  • Set as default to make an address the one pre-selected at checkout.

Saved addresses are what you pick from at checkout instead of retyping your details every time.

Newsletter and notification preferences

Not yet functional

A notification-preferences panel appears on the Profile page, but saving your choices there doesn't currently take effect — treat any toggle here as not yet live.

Account deletion

You can delete your own account from the Profile page. Before anything is deleted you must prove it is really you, using whichever of up to three methods applies to your account.

Find Delete account

Scroll to the account-deletion area of the Profile page. It shows a line such as "Permanently delete your account and all associated data." with a Delete account link beneath it. Select it. The same spot then asks Delete your account? with "This permanently removes all your data." and two buttons, Delete account and Cancel. Select Delete account to continue, or Cancel to back out. (Merchants can reword these labels, so yours may read slightly differently.)

Confirm it is you

A Delete your account window opens: "This permanently removes your account. Confirm it is you to continue." While it checks which methods you can use it shows "Checking your confirmation options...". Pick one method below.

Delete

Select the delete button for the method you chose (Delete my account, or Confirm and delete on the emailed-code step; it reads Deleting... while working). A "Your account has been deleted" message appears, you are signed out, and you are taken to the store's homepage.

Which methods you see

MethodShown whenWhat you do
PasswordYour account has a password you choseType it into Enter your password, then select Delete my account.
Continue with GoogleGoogle is connected to your account (see Connected accounts above)A round trip through Google, described below.
Email me a codeAlwaysA 6-digit code is emailed to you.

When more than one method is available they are listed one above the other, separated by or; you use only one. If you signed up with Google and never set a password, you are never asked for one — you see only Continue with Google and Email me a code. The password button stays greyed out until you type something.

Once you select Email me a code, the emailed-code step takes over the window: the password box and the Google button are hidden until you select Confirm another way, which goes back to the list of methods.

Confirming with an emailed code

  1. Select Email me a code (Sending code... while it sends).
  2. The window shows "We sent a 6-digit code to" your email address, partly hidden, "It expires in 10 minutes."
  3. Type the code into 6-digit code (only digits are accepted, six of them) and select Confirm and delete. The button stays greyed out until six digits are entered.
  4. No email? Select Resend code. Want a different method instead? Select Confirm another way to return to the list. You can request only a few codes in a short period — after three requests in about 15 minutes you see "Too many code requests. Please wait a few minutes before requesting another code." Wait, then try again.

A code is single-use. After five wrong attempts it stops working and you must request a new one.

Confirming with Google

  1. Select Continue with Google (Opening Google... while it starts). You leave the store for Google's account chooser.
  2. Choose the same Google account that is connected to this store account. Google only proves who you are here — it does not sign you in again.
  3. You come back to the Profile page and the Delete your account window opens by itself with "Google confirmed it is you. Delete your account to finish." Select Delete my account to finish, or Confirm another way to go back to the other methods.

If it does not go as planned you also land back on your Profile page with the window re-opened and a message explaining what happened:

MessageWhy
Google confirmation was cancelled. Try again or use another way to confirm. You closed or declined the Google screen.
That Google account is not the one linked to this account. Sign in with the linked Google account, or confirm another way.You picked a different Google account from the connected one.
Google could not confirm this account because its email is not verified. Use another way to confirm.Google reports the email as unverified.
Google confirmation is unavailable right now. Please use another way to confirm.Temporary problem on the Google step.
We could not confirm with Google. Try again or use another way to confirm.Any other failure on the way back.
Your Google confirmation expired or was already used. Confirm with Google again. You waited about five minutes before selecting Delete my account, or already used the confirmation.

Google confirmation works in the same browser tab, so finish the round trip without opening other store tabs mid-way. If you take longer than about 15 minutes at Google and then fail, you are sent to the normal Login page instead of back to the Profile page.

Other messages in the window

Each message appears directly beside the field or button that caused it: a wrong password under the password box, a wrong code under the code box, and code-sending problems next to Email me a code or Resend code. Google problems appear under the Google button. If the control a message belongs to is not on screen, the message shows at the bottom of the window, just above Cancel.

MessageMeaning
We could not load your confirmation options. Please try again. The window could not load — select Try again.
That password is not correct.Wrong password. Try again or use another method.
Your account has no password. Confirm with Google or an emailed code instead. The store found your account has no password; the password box disappears.
That code is not valid. It may be wrong, expired or already used. Request a new code.Wrong, expired (10 minutes), already used or too many tries. Select Resend code.
Google is not connected to your account. Confirm with your password or an emailed code.Google was disconnected meanwhile; the Google button disappears.
We could not send the code right now. Please try again in a moment. The email could not be sent.
We could not send the code. Please try again. The request for a code did not go through and the store gave no specific reason, such as a lost connection. Select Email me a code or Resend code again.
We could not start Google sign-in. Please try again. The request to start the Google step did not go through, such as a lost connection. You stay in the window; select Continue with Google again or use another method.
Confirm it is you before deleting your account. No confirmation was supplied.
We could not delete your account. Please try again. The delete itself failed for any other reason, such as a lost connection. Nothing was deleted.

Select Cancel (or press Esc) to close the window without deleting; any half-finished Google confirmation is discarded. Cancel is greyed out only while the delete itself is running.

What deleting does

Deleting is permanent from your side: your account is deactivated so you can no longer sign in, any connected Google account is disconnected, your reviews and other moderated content are anonymised, and you are signed out immediately. Just before you are signed out, a "Your account has been deleted" message confirms it. For anything about records the store keeps, such as past orders, contact the store's support.

Why don't I see Delete account?

Every store shows Delete account on the Profile page to every signed-in customer. The store's own Profile page design cannot hide or remove it, so a store with a customised Profile layout still offers it. If you cannot find it, make sure you are signed in and on the Profile page, then look for the account-deletion area described above. If it is still missing, ask the store's support (see Getting Help). Separately, if the Delete your account window only offers Email me a code, that is normal: you have no password set and have not connected Google.

Wallet

Not yet functional

The Profile page shows a Wallet panel — a balance (always ₹0 today), a top-up form, and a transaction history (always empty). None of it is connected yet: submitting the top-up form does nothing, and there's no way to actually add funds to a wallet balance today.

Connected accounts

On stores that have turned on Google sign-in, a Connected accounts card sits at the bottom of the Profile page, below the rest of your profile. It reads "Sign in faster by connecting your Google account." and shows one row, Google. If the store doesn't offer Google sign-in, the card isn't shown at all.

What the row saysButtonWhat it does
Not connectedConnectTakes you to Google to choose an account, then returns you to this Profile page. Beneath the row, a line reads "The Google account you choose will be connected to this account" followed by your email (partly hidden), and "You'll stay signed in as you."
Connected as followed by your Google email address, partly hidden for privacy (or just Connected)DisconnectOpens Disconnect Google? — "You will no longer be able to sign in with Google. You can still sign in with your email and password." Choose Disconnect to confirm or Cancel to keep it.

Connecting never switches your account. The Google account you pick is added to the account you are signed in to — you are not signed out, no password is asked, and the Google email does not need to match your store email. When it differs, the page says "Google account connected." and then "You can now sign in with" that Google email "too." After that, Continue with Google on the Login page signs you in to this account.

If the connection is refused, a red line appears under the row:

MessageWhat to do
This Google account is already connected to another account. One Google account can belong to only one store account. Use a different Google account, or sign in to the other account and disconnect it there.
A different Google account is already connected to this account. Disconnect it first.Select Disconnect, then connect the other Google account.
We could not start the Google connection. Please try again.Google could not be reached. Try again in a moment.

Disconnect stays greyed out until you set a password

If your account was created by Continue with Google, you may not have a password yet. Until you have one, Disconnect is disabled and the note "Set a password first so you can still sign in" appears under the row. This stops you locking yourself out: set a password under Changing or setting your password above, reopen Profile, and Disconnect becomes available. If a disconnect is still refused for this reason you see "Set a password before disconnecting Google, or you won't be able to sign in."

If the card can't load, it shows "We could not load your connected accounts. Please try again."; if disconnecting fails, "We could not disconnect Google. Please try again." Nothing changes in either case.

Why is there no Connected accounts card?

The card only appears when the store offers Google sign-in. If the merchant has switched it off or their plan no longer includes it, the card (and the Continue with Google button) disappear. You can still sign in with your email or phone and password.

In-app notifications

Open the notification bell in the header for a dropdown of recent updates (order status changes, promotions, restocks), or go to the full Notifications page to see everything with tabs for All / Orders / Promotions / Restocks.

  • Click a notification to mark it read and, where relevant, jump to what it's about (like an order).
  • Mark all as read clears the unread count in one click.
  • Scroll down (or tap Load more) to see older notifications.
